People always ask me where to go to get nice fabrics in Minnesota. Unfortunately we don’t have any cool fabric stores like Mood fabrics based out of NY and LA (featured on Project Runway) but we do have a fantastic fine fabric boutique in Rochester MN called Ginny’s Fine Fabrics. Only an hour away from the cities, you can find anything you need from fine silks, lace, wool, cotton, linen, denim and more. This is usually the first place I go to get inspired and I recommend anyone who is looking for nice fabrics to go check it out. The prices are a little more expensive, but worth it for the quality and variety. Ginny finds her fabrics from all over the world, which is what makes her store unique. You are also able to get swatches of fabric for a $1 that gets credited towards your purchase.
